White Chocolate Wednesday – Jason Williams

Trying out something new here on WTWM, every wednesday i’ll post a white NBA player who is all but forgotten. Since I’m calling this White Chocolate Wednesday, seems only fitting we begin with White Chocolate himself, Jason Williams.

This Florida Gator and And1 Mixtape legend dazzled the NBA for 12 years with his street ball style. Often attempting numerous flashy behind the back and no-look passes which caused him to be benched for long periods of time in games. Anyone who knows me knows i’m a sucker for a white guy in the big league.

Playing for the Kings (7th Overall in 1998), Grizzles, Heat, and the Magic, as well as going by the names J-Dub and J-Will, Chocolate had the audacity to tattoo “White Boy” across his knuckles. Those magic fingers allowed him to average 10.5 points and 5.9 assists per game. Not to mention 8 playoff appearances, one of which earned him a ring in 2006 with the Heat. The 1999 All-Rookie First Team player was also selected as one of 25 greatest Miami Heat players of all time in 2007.

All in all, not a bad career for a white point guard.

You do you, White Chocolate. You do You.
